There is not much to winter weather so far in our part of the country, but if it's just not pouring rain from the side, it's still nice to be outdoors.
The cats like to go for a walk with us in the forest. Nellie is as brave as her mother Embla in nature, they run and jump and seem to completely ignore if the fur becomes full of moss and twigs.
Forest walks with cats are not directly any power walks for us two-legged, there will be many “stay and wait” because there is so much to discover along the way.
Now is the year 2020 end and we look forward to the future 2021. 2020 has been a very special year as we in many parts of life have had to learn to live differently than before.
At home, we have managed the adaptations to the pandemic relatively well, it is something else that has been difficult for us this year. During the year we have had both Ellen and Tova fall asleep. Both of them got different types of cancer and we were careful not to let them suffer when we realized they were in pain. They were twelve and ten years old, respectively, should have lived for many years yet.
We are so sorry for this but feel confident that they have had a good life here with us. Ellen and Tova have been incredibly important to our family, absolutely lovely kind and sociable. They were also our first breeding females, we learned our first breeder lessons with them. It has been difficult to write about this here, but now the website is updated.
So now we only have Embla and Nellie – and our domestic cat Tessie. It has been good for us to have Nellie and all her antics to look forward to this fall. We may long more than ever to get little kittens to get raw and enjoy, we keep our fingers crossed that Nellie will have a litter this summer.
